Haven't written for a loong time

Well, its almost Nov and I cant believe that the time has flown by. The leaves are falling and really pretty. I have so much to be thankful for. Thankful for my job, for Tom's job for my family and friends. Thankful we are healthy too. I hope this month I am really focused on being grateful for all I have.

Almost Fall

It's almost Fall but the weather is still warm. I hope we can have a fall cookout/deck party with a bonfire in Oct. I think it would be fun and a good way to meet up with folks. I love the colors of fall.

We are heading to WI in a week for Tom's dads 80th birthday, that seems amazing to me. He was about 60 when we met. He is still really active and in good health. I am so thankful. Time really flies. I guess I am old too now. :) 42 doesn't seem too old but then again I am seeing more gray. Oh well. I hope I am more fit and more active when I am 50 than I am now even. Can only hope.

SUMMER IS HERE!

I had a great time yesterday with Megan and Debbie. They took me to the IMA and then out to dinner at Panera. The IMA and the grounds are beautiful. It was great to be with my family too! The sun is kind of out, but I gotta tell you if it doesn't rain again for 2 mos I would not be too sad....

The pups squashed 2 of my plants I just planted too. So I have to buy a few more.. sigh... There should be an anti huge paws plant out there somewhere. If you know of one let me know! Haven't figured out why I keep them but I do. I buy them food, treats, toys, etc. They are spoiled but it is not from me. I suspect elves or gnomes that do that at night while we are sleeping.. Oh well. I guess I will keep them. :):)

Ok the rain is still around...

But the world is green! How cool is that? I will have to take some pictures and post them of our backyard and our front yard. The green is such a beautiful color. Very lush.

School is winding down for everyone, and the summer approaches. I hope it is a great summer for everyone. I am looking forward to no rain for awhile.. :)

For you lost fans, tonight is the season finale! It looks good but I am not happy that Faraday got killed off... whats up with that? Next season is it. Definitely planning a party for the last episode.

So sick of the rain... I guess we need it for the flowers but, I would not be sad to see it go!

But it is a good day to read a book or watch a movie. Well after work or school of course. :) Anyone read a good book recently or watch a good movie?

I am finishing up a Henry Blackaby book, and will need to get another one soon. We rented slumdog millionaire this past weekend. Hum... a bit much to watch at times but well done. Dont let anyone under 15 watch it though! We saw Mongol awhile back it was good, but violent. So now I need a not so violent happy movie, like Monsters vs Aliens. That was really funny. If you saw one let me know.

Better go let the furballs in, they are muddy and wet.. sigh.. so much for cleaning my house..

Sunshine

I think the sun is finally coming out again! YEAH!! I am ready for spring. The pups stink, they need a bath, this weekend is it. Hopefully the good smell will last!

Enjoy the sun, get out and thank God that he gave us the warmer weather.

Snow in April

Well not my favorite but I know that means this should be close to the end of Winter. This also means Easter is almost here. This is one of my favorite holidays. I hope everyone can get to Church this Sunday and if you celebrate it, Good Friday services too. Its a wonderful way to see the whole story, from the cross to the empty tomb.
